General Questions

To maximize the experience, student attendees should be prepared to:

Engage Fully

  • Participate actively in sessions, discussions, networking activities, and the Leadership Activity.
  • Contribute ideas and perspectives during collaborative activities.
  • Represent their institution and collegiate chapter professionally.

Prepare Before the Event

  • Review conference information and event materials.
  • Reflect on personal leadership goals and areas for growth.
  • Be prepared to introduce themselves and engage with fellow participants.
  • Connect with the Leadership Activity small group before arrival.

Continue the Experience After the Conference

  • Share key learnings with other BGS members on your campus.
  • Apply leadership concepts in academic, professional, and extracurricular settings.
  • Stay engaged with BGS programs, events, and networking opportunities.

This event takes place live and in-person only at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ (outside of New York City, NY).

This two-day in-person event will take place on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ (outside of New York City, NY). The event will end no later than 4 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The current times listed are tentative and subject to change. Seton Hall University is in the US Eastern Time Zone (UTC-4).

On Friday, October 23rd, programming is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm local time, with registration opening at 12 pm local time. Programming on Friday will end at roughly 6:00 pm local time. Participants should eat lunch prior to arriving on the first day of the event, as food will not be provided by BGS.

On Saturday, October 24th, programming is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am local time, with doors opening at 8:30 am local time. Programming on Saturday will end no later than 4:00 pm local time. There will be a lunch break provided by BGS on Saturday, with programming resuming afterward. The official schedule of events will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event.

The finalized event schedule will be posted on the BGS Event Page and will include speakers, panel discussions, a small-group leadership activity, and a BGS Gives Back service project.

This event takes place live and in-person only at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ (outside of New York City, NY).

Yes, chapters and members outside of the New York City / Tri-State area are welcome and encouraged to register and attend.

Members, or chapters, who submit a registration by the end of the Early Bird Registration period will lock in at the lowest price. There are no event scholarships or additional discounts available.

No, hotel accommodations are NOT included in the event fee. BGS members who need a hotel will be responsible for booking and covering the cost of a hotel room. BGS will provide hotel recommendations near the event site; however, members may choose any hotel they prefer.

The dress code for this event is business casual. Jeans are allowed. Attendees are encouraged to wear school apparel on Day 1.

Since this is an in-person event only, there will NOT be recordings of any of the sessions.

The registration fee includes top-notch, dynamic presentations and learning opportunities over two days. The registration fee does NOT include meals, lodging, travel to and from the area, or local transportation and parking to and from the event.

Refunds are available until fourteen days prior to the event start date.

Yes. There will be a wait list. If spots become available, those on the list will be processed in the order received, with the latest to come off the wait list and register by 4 pm CT the Friday two weeks before the event.

Participant Questions

Yes, this event is for BGS student members only, and the content will be geared toward current undergraduate and graduate students.

BGS will provide hotel recommendations near the event site; however, members may choose any hotel they prefer.

Yes, members can attend multiple LCS events, as the speakers, sessions, and content will be different at each event.

Refreshment and bathroom breaks will occur throughout the event and will be noted in the final schedule.

Chapter Questions

A chapter can register up to 5 students through the group registration link available to chapters. Please follow the registration link on the BGS Event Page, which will take you to the registration page on Eventbrite. Chapters purchasing group tickets for their students must submit names and information for those attending no later than 4 pm CT the Friday two weeks before the event.

A chapter can also register more than 5 students. If your chapter would like to register more than 5 student members on one order, please reach out to programs@betagammasigma.org.

The conference is for BGS student members only. If a faculty or staff representative is traveling, please contact programs@betagammasigma.org to provide the name and contact information of the person traveling and to receive the link for the Advisor/Admin Event Registration Form. If a faculty or staff representative is traveling with their student(s), BGS will make every attempt to arrange dedicated seating for our speaker sessions. Breakout and group activities will be for student attendees only.

BGS will offer early bird, general, and late registration depending on when a registration is submitted. You can find a full breakdown of those dates and prices by viewing the BGS Event Page.

Yes, this event is for BGS student members only. The content will be geared toward current undergraduate and graduate students, though those in a doctoral program are welcome as well.
