Joyce Strawser is Dean of the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University, a position she has held since 2012. Joyce joined the Seton Hall faculty in 1995 and has taught courses in many of the subfields of accounting, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Joyce currently serves as Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors of AACSB International (the premier accrediting body for business education). Joyce also is Chair of the Beta Gamma Sigma Board of Governors. Joyce earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. in accounting from Louisiana State University.

John Backiel leads enterprise expense transformation initiatives for Prudential’s ~$7B operating budget. He heads the development and implementation of advanced forecasting, reporting, and cost-control systems leveraging technology. John brings nearly 20 years of strategic finance experience across corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, strategy, forecasting, expense management, budgeting, and operations. His diverse career spans leadership roles from startup environments to global profit centers within the financial services industry. Prior to his current role, John served as Vice President, Finance at Assurance IQ (a Prudential-acquired FinTech startup), where he held multiple leadership positions including Head of FP&A, Head of Marketing Analytics, and Controller.

Chris Strom is Chief Marketing Officer of Sunrise Association, which provides free summer day camp programs for children with cancer and their siblings. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall’s Stillman School of Business, teaching AI-powered digital marketing. He works with nonprofits to build practical AI capability, and founded Old Ball Game Studios, a baseball history brand with 140,000+ followers.
