The annual chapter survey is live

One contact from each chapter was sent a link to the survey from Survey Monkey. If you don’t know who received this link, please reach out to us. Surveys can be edited anytime using the access link until the survey closes.

A survey reminder message will automatically be sent every other Monday until the survey closes. Due to the number of chapters and contacts and the capabilities of the system, we are unable to send links individually.

Please complete and submit your survey before July 7, 2019!

Get your Chapter Honor Roll points!

Besides completing the annual chapter survey, here are a couple of easy ways to rack up the points and get your chapter on the Honor Roll:

  1. Submit your student officer information to HQ. If you don’t know if your names have been submitted, send us a quick message.
  2. Complete the BGS Gives Back registration form. Take a moment and tell us about the community service events your chapter has completed this year.

Note: To earn points towards Chapter Honor Roll, make sure you’ve completed these by June 30.

Update your contact info with HQ

Are you or another chapter advisor or admin stepping down this year, or is someone new coming on board? Or, do you have a new dean starting this year?

If so, let us know! Email us with your new contact’s name, email address and role, and we’ll get them set up in the CMS for you.

Important policy reminder

Ceremony attendance cannot dictate whether a student becomes a member. This policy is found on page 19 of the Collegiate Chapter Handbook: While Global HQ intends to support Chapter Leaders’ hard work in planning and executing the membership recognition ceremony, it is Global HQ policy that a member does not need to have attended a ceremony to be a lifetime member of the Society. Chapters are free to enact chapter-specific policies regarding ceremony acceptance, provided they do not insinuate attendance affecting membership if the acceptance process has been completed.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Certificate Processing Schedule

Help us ensure certificates arrive before your ceremony! Please give your students enough time to accept their invitation so their certificates will arrive before your ceremony. Make sure that all chapter leadership and students are aware of this, as it will affect their deadline to receive a physical certificate for the ceremony.

Help our email invitations reach your students!

Have your students been getting our emails? Take these two steps to ensure you and your students have no issues receiving our messages.

  1. Ask your IT department to whitelist our email address and domain. Provide them with the following information:
  1. Tell your students what to expect. Induction invitations and reminders are sent from bgsmembers@betagammasigma.org with the subject: “You’re invited to join Beta Gamma Sigma!” Make sure they check spam folders and if using Gmail, the promotions tab—sometimes our messages land there.
