KPMG Foundation president and board member Bernard “Bernie” Milano leads the organization in supporting college students in developing business and leadership skills. He also serves as president and board member of The PhD Project, which supports minorities who wish to become business professors.
Before becoming president of the KPMG Foundation, Bernie started in the audit practice of KPMG’s Philadelphia office and went on to serve as national partner in charge of university relations and national partner in charge of human resources.
Bernie also served on President Bush’s board of advisors on black colleges and universities from 2002 to 2009; President Trump reappointed him for another term beginning this year.
Bernie graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He also holds honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees from North Carolina A&T State University, Kent State University and William Paterson University.
