Chapter Advisor of the Year

The Chapter Advisor of the Year Award is a merit recognition awarded by Beta Gamma Sigma to an outstanding Advisor who both made great contributions to the success of their Chapter and supported the Beta Gamma Sigma mission throughout the course of the academic year.

Beta Gamma Sigma invites our Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors Chapters to nominate their Advisor or Co-Advisor to be honored as a recipient of the Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award.


Molly G. Brown  

Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs in the James Madison University College of Business

Following a career in the retail sector, and later as an auditor for the Commonwealth of Virginia, Molly Brown, CPA, CMA has been on the accounting faculty of her alma mater, James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, since 2002. In 2014, she was appointed Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs for the College of Business. In her current role, she oversees professional development programming, prospective student engagement, and student support for the College.  Molly serves as faculty advisor for the JMU chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma and directs the College of Business semester abroad program in Belgium.

She is an essay scorer for the CPA exam and a contributor and reviewer for several financial and management accounting textbooks. In 2013, she was a CMA Exam silver medalist. Molly also enjoys serving on non-profit boards in her community.
