Chapter Advisor of the Year


The Chapter Advisor of the Year Award is a merit recognition awarded by Beta Gamma Sigma to an outstanding Advisor who both made great contributions to the success of their Chapter and supported the Beta Gamma Sigma mission throughout the course of the academic year.

Beta Gamma Sigma invites our Honors, High Honors, and Highest Honors Chapters to nominate their Advisor or Co-Advisor to be honored as a recipient of the Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award.


Dr. Fauzia Jabeen

Associate Professor of Management, College of Business

Abu Dhabi University – Abu Dhabi, UAE

 Dr. Fauzia Jabeen has served as the BGS chapter advisor at Abu Dhabi University since the chapter’s inception in October 2015.  To build awareness and support at the College and University levels, she masterminded various BGS events – including a speaker series featuring the Ambassador of the Embassy of Finland, as well as executives from companies throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

Dr. Jabeen is one of the founding members of the BGS-UAE Alumni network, started the Executive Shadowing program for second and third-year students, and established the BGS Mentorship Program – a unique “2-tier” career development program involving BGS inductees at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and faculty levels.  Through these types of efforts and more, Dr. Jabeen has made her Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter highly popular and in-demand.

Dr. Jabeen holds a Ph.D. in Management and has notable academic, research and industrial experience in the UAE.  Her teaching workload is extensive and includes International Business, Business Ethics and Corporate Governance, and Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Additionally, Dr. Jabeen is a prolific writer, with many published works on productivity/performance management, organizational development, enterprise development, social responsibility, sustainability, etc., to her credit.

Highly active in education and research, she has received scholarly awards and research grants from various funding agencies that include the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Abu Dhabi University, Al Hosn Gas, and Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority.  Other awards include the Abu Dhabi University-Distinguished Faculty Award (2014-2015) and the University Teaching Award (2016-2017).
