Alumni Chapter Awards

The Alumni Chapter Awards program recognizes the achievements of Beta Gamma Sigma alumni chapters and their members, celebrating outstanding leadership, engagement, and community impact. Each year, we honor chapters and individuals who exemplify these values, reinforcing BGS’s mission to be a catalyst for good.

The program is open to Alumni Chapters that meet eligibility requirements, including maintaining active chapter officers, submitting the Alumni Chapter Annual Report, and hosting at least two events during the fiscal year. Nominations require approval and endorsement from chapter leadership. Eligible chapters will be notified via email in July with domination details and deadlines.

Best Program or Activity

Australia Alumni Chapter: BGS Spark: Ideas in Action

The Australia Alumni Chapter’s BGS Spark: Ideas in Action stood out for its creativity and measurable community impact. Held in Sydney in May 2025, the program brought together BGS alumni and local not-for-profit organizations for a hands-on workshop where members applied their professional expertise to solve real challenges faced by community partners. By making the organizations themselves the “speakers,” the event transformed traditional networking into meaningful, purpose-driven collaboration. The result was a powerful showcase of how BGS members use their skills for social good and strengthening the chapter’s visibility, advancing the BGS mission, and proving that the society’s values of honor, wisdom, and earnestness can truly spark ideas into action.
