Wes Hamilton-Jessop

BGS member Wes Hamilton-Jessop is an associate lecturer and has worked within the discipline of accounting at The University of Sydney Business School since 2008.

Before teaching, Wes worked as an accounting specialist and business advisor within the banking and financial sector. His research investigates taxation mechanisms within corporate groups, accountability and ethics within taxation regimes.

Wes earned master’s degrees in commerce and philosophy, along with a graduate certificate in educational studies, from the University of Sydney; he’s currently pursuing a doctorate in philosophy at the University of New South Wales. Wes is highly regarded for the quality of his teaching—he’s received Dean’s Citations in tutoring and various teaching award nominations.

Wes is the faculty advisor and secretary of the University of Sydney’s BGS chapter; he’s also co-founder and president of BGS’ Australia Alumni Chapter and serves on BGS’ board of governors.
