Toshitsugu Otake has been dean of APU’s College of International Management and Graduate School of Management since 2015. He established the school’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter in Japan in 2018.
Before joining APU, Dean Otake worked for GE Capital as a researcher and a risk technology manager. He also established a risk management data analysis and consulting firm in Japan.
Dean Otake earned his Ph.D. after completing three master’s degrees in economics, mathematics and statistics. His research has been published in the European Journal of Operational Research, Computers and Operations Research, Journal of Policy Informatics and others.
This year, Dean Otake joined BGS’ board of governors; he’s a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, the American Risk and Insurance Association, and the Institute of Actuaries of Japan.
