Frequently Asked Questions
We understand you have questions, and we’re here to help. Below find some of the questions we’ve received from members like you.


Q: What day does the event begin? 
A: Live, virtual event sessions begin February 3, 2023, with pre-event, asynchronous work beginning Monday, January 30, 2023.

Q: When does the event end? 
A: The event ends after the award ceremony Sunday, February 5.


Q: Is this conference open to all members?
A: This is a student-focused conference, with messaging and sessions geared towards collegiate BGS members. However, members who have graduated and are looking for a better understanding of sustainability and the SDGs are welcome to register and participate as well.


Q: Is this an in-person event?
A: No. This event takes place live and online. You can attend the event from anywhere via your computer.


Q: Are there any discounts available?
A: Yes. There is a $25 discount available if you register by October 31st.  There is a $15 discount available if you register between November 1st and November 28th. All registrations after November 29th are full price.

Q: When will a link to the event platform be shared?
A: A link to the event platform, Hopin, will be shared via email closer to the event date.

Q: Where can I register for the event?
A: Please follow the registration link on the BGS website, the link will lead you to the Eventbrite registration page.

Q: How do I use my Highest Honors scholarship promo code?
A: After selecting the orange button that says "Register" on Eventbrite, you will notice the blue "Enter promo code" link above the ticketing options. You should enter your promo code in that box prior to checking out. For step-by-step instructions, click here

Q: How do I register multiple members of my chapter at once?

Q: Can I edit ticket information after I complete my purchase?
A: Yes! Click here for our "Editing Group Ticket Information Guide."


Q: Is this event for BGS members only?
A: Yes.

Q: Will recordings be available after the event? 
A: The majority of sessions will be recorded and available to participants later that day. If recordings are not available for a session, there will be a session summary available. 


Q: Are refunds available?
A: Refunds are available until seven days prior to the event.


Q: What are SDGs?
A: In 2015, the United Nations unanimously adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The SDGs address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice. The UN plans to frame their agendas and political policies by the year 2030 in an effort to end these injustices. For additional information on the SDGs, click here.
