Lauren B. Angelo, PharmD, MBA is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science College of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy and MBA degrees from Drake University and completed her residency training at the University of North Carolina with Kerr Drug. She previously taught at Butler University and the University of Maryland. Dr. Angelo spent time working for the American Pharmacists Association where she focused on the development and delivery of continuing pharmacy education programs.

 

Specializing in immunizations, she travels throughout the country as a national faculty instructor to teach pharmacists and student pharmacists how to administer vaccines. Dr. Angelo spent six years as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association and has authored several books, which include topics on immunizations, medication management, and residency program development. Dr. Angelo most recently published the Immunization Handbook for Pharmacists, which is in its 5th edition. In 2015, she completed the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Academic Leadership Fellows Program. She serves on numerous College and University committees, as well as national advisory boards and expert review panels. Dr. Angelo is a frequent speaker at professional meetings, virtual webinars, and podcasts. She is an active volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps in Evanston, Illinois. After moving to Chicago in 2012, she connected with the Chicagoland chapter and is now the Event Coordinator for BGS Chicagoland.
