2006-07 BGS Successes
As you prepare to make the 2007-08 year the best ever on your campus for Beta Gamma Sigma and your best business students, the Central Office wanted to let you know about some of the successes from 2006-07. Of course, those are truly your successes, as the Society could not function and thrive without the tireless efforts of its chapter advisors. BGS Online Ordering System
The Beta Gamma Sigma Online Ordering System (OOS) returns for Year 2 in 2007-08, and thanks to comments, questions and suggestions by collegiate chapter representatives, it should be a greatly improved system.

BGS Member Benefits
By now most of you know quite a bit about the Beta Gamma Sigma affiliate partnerships and the member benefits and discounts that come with them. These affiliate relationships have become very important for the honor society because they help finance many of the Society’s programs and activities, while also providing additional value to BGS lifetime membership.

Communications from the Central Office
Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes that its collegiate chapter advisors are extremely busy and receive a great deal of email from a variety of sources. Between professional and personal communications (not to mention the ever-increasing, ever-more-annoying collection of spam and junk mail), inboxes are overflowing and time is short.

New Mentoring Program Available to Assist Chapter Advisors
Beta Gamma Sigma is establishing a mentoring program to assist new chapters and new advisors. Mentors will be able to share strategies for issuing invitations and increasing acceptance rates, offer programming ideas and suggestions to increase the support from school administration and influential faculty.

2007-08 Collegiate Chapter Officer/Assistant Training Seminars
We hope you are planning to have at least one representative from your chapter attend a Collegiate Chapter Officer/Assistant Training Seminar during the 2007-08 year.

If you or someone from your chapter is not already scheduled to take part in the Fall 2007 session being held September 27-28 in Chicago, Illinois, please consider sending someone to one of the early 2008 seminars. With the new BGS Online Ordering System and the need to reach as many great eligible students as possible, the Training Seminar is a tremendous opportunity.

2007-08 BGS Student Leadership Forums
Has your chapter sent students to past BGS Student Leadership Forums? If so, are you planning to take part again this year? You should be. And if not, why not? The Forum has proven to be a valuable learning experience for hundreds of the top students from schools across the country, often leading to comments in post-forum surveys such as, “This was a life-changing experience,” and “The Forum was one of the most worthwhile weekends of my life.” Your chapter, and one or more of your top students, should take advantage of this tremendous program.
